Common questions
Things buyers ask us first.
How long does shipping from China to India take?
It depends on the route. Sea freight is usually the most economical and typically takes around three to five weeks door to door, including clearance. Air freight is far quicker - often under a week - but costs more. We quote both so you can choose.
What is a landed cost?
It is the total cost of getting goods to your door - the goods themselves plus freight, duty, clearance and handling. We quote this as one number with the assumptions written out, so nothing appears on your invoice after the shipment lands.
Do I need an Import Export Code (IEC) to import into India?
Yes. Businesses importing commercially into India need an IEC from the DGFT, and you will normally need GST registration too. If you do not have one yet, tell us - we will point you in the right direction before you commit to an order.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Factories set their own minimums, and they vary by product. You do not need a full container to work with us - we consolidate smaller orders so modest volumes still get sensible freight rates.
How do you check quality before it ships?
We review the supplier before you commit, you approve a sample ahead of volume production, and we inspect the goods before they are released for shipping. If something is wrong, it gets sorted before it leaves China, not after it reaches you.
Can you source a product that is not listed on your site?
Usually, yes. The listed categories are where most of our work sits, but if a product is made in China we can generally source it. Ask - and if it is a poor import or we cannot do it well, we will tell you straight.
